Intensive Care Consultant

Talentspoc is seeking a dedicated Intensive Care Consultant to lead our critical care team in delivering exceptional medical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role demands a highly skilled professional capable of managing complex and critically ill patients, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and advancing clinical excellence within the ICU.

As the Intensive Care Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing patient management, creating and implementing effective treatment plans, mentoring junior colleagues, and maintaining close communication with patients families to ensure holistic care and support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Perform regular patient assessments and modify interventions as needed.
• Mentor and support junior medical staff, fostering a learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families, offering updates and support.
• Participate in research and quality improvement projects to enhance ICU care.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid medical license.
• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or related specialty.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in intensive care settings.
• Strong leadership, clinical decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
