Job Description

The Insurance Coordinator is a crucial role within the realm of healthcare and insurance management, where precision, efficiency, and an in-depth understanding of insurance policies and procedures are essential. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will serve as a pivotal point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, ensuring seamless communication and accurate documentation of insurance claims and patient information.   • Monitor patient accounts for incoming payments and follow up on unpaid claims.
  • Prepare and submit appeals to insurance companies for denied claims as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies to negotiate and resolve claim discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to insurance processing.
  • Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations within the insurance department.
  • Stay informed about changes and updates in insurance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of insurance claims to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in insurance coordination or healthcare administration.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing procedures, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and insurers.
  • Proficiency in using insurance billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all insurance documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
