About the department

The School of Engineering is seeking qualified and motivated instructors in Mathematics to join in September 2025. The successful candidate will primarily deliver tutorials in Mathematics for students across various programs and year levels.

The candidate is expected to teach in one or more of the following areas:

• College Algebra including polynomial functions, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations, and mathematical modeling applications.
• Trigonometry covering trigonometric functions, identities, equations, applications to triangles, and periodic phenomena.
• Calculus including differential and integral calculus, limits, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integration techniques, and applications of integration.
• Differential Equations encompassing first-order and higher-order differential equations, systems of differential equations, and their applications in modeling real-world problems.
• Engineering Mathematics to include vector calculus, linear algebra, Fourier analysis, Laplace transforms, and numerical methods with applications to engineering problems using relevant software such as MATLAB.

Requirements & Responsibilities

The ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience teaching/tutoring mathematics to a wide range of students. Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in advanced mathematical concepts and their practical applications, with particular emphasis on the theoretical principles underlying calculus, differential equations, and engineering mathematics. The candidate is expected to work in accordance with the course curriculum and teaching plans, as well as take attendance and be involved in marking. Experience in using innovative approaches to teaching mathematics is desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics from a recognised international institute
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics
• Teaching experience at an internationally recognised institution
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
