Job Description

As an HSE Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that health, safety, and environmental standards are met and maintained across various operations and project sites. Your role will involve conducting thorough inspections, assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. You will actively contribute to the development of safety programs, conduct training sessions, and work collaboratively with teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental consciousness. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of work sites to ensure safety compliance.
  • Identify potential environmental hazards and propose effective mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
  • Assist in the development and revision of health and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal safety standards always.
  • Collaborate with management to implement best practices for health and safety.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation pertaining to safety inspections.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and execution as required.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all HSE-related matters to management.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HSE developments, trends, and legislation changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a health and safety inspection role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse teams effectively.
  • Relevant HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risk factors efficiently.
  • Proficiency in report writing and maintaining detailed inspection documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
