Job Description

The Inside IT Sales Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base within the IT sector. Positioned within the sales team, this role requires a dynamic professional who can efficiently manage existing client relationships while identifying new business opportunities. The account manager will engage in extensive client communication to understand their IT needs and propose tailored solutions. A successful candidate will combine technical savviness with outstanding sales acumen to achieve sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. This role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline sales processes and deliver superior customer experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen existing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and proactively pursue new sales opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to align IT solutions with client requirements.
  • Develop and present compelling sales proposals and presentations to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions that meet client specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Stay updated on new product offerings, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Participate in webinars, conferences, and industry events to expand networking opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback to sales leadership on market conditions and client feedback.
  • Achieve quarterly sales quotas and contribute to team objectives and targets.
  • Support marketing efforts by attending trade shows and fielding marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in IT sales or a similar role is required.
  • Strong understanding of IT products, services, and technological trends.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales-related tools and technology.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
