Join Novonesis as an Industry Technology Specialist and play a key role in supporting customers across the Middle East and Africa region. Working closely with commercial, application, and innovation teams, you will help drive sustainable growth through technical excellence, innovation, and customer partnership. In this regional role, your expertise will help customers optimize performance, adopt new technologies, and create value across grain processing, distilling, and bioenergy applications.The role & your impactAs an Industry Technology Specialist, you will serve as the technical expert supporting customers and business stakeholders across the Middle East and Africa. This is a highly collaborative role that combines customer-facing technical support, innovation project leadership, and new product commercialization. You will contribute directly to business growth by ensuring successful product implementation and identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.Your key responsibilities in this role
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to customers in grain processing, distilling, ethanol, and bioenergy operations.
• Lead technical implementation and onboarding activities for new product launches across the region.
• Plan and execute customer trials, generate technical data, and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Drive innovation projects focused on process optimization, operational efficiency, and value creation.
• Deliver technical training programs and workshops for customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and technological developments to support business strategy and innovation priorities.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, regulatory, and R&D teams to align technical activities with regional growth objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience within grain processing, distilling, ethanol production, fermentation, biofuel production, or related industries.
• Strong technical understanding of fermentation processes, distillery operations, enzymatic applications, milling technologies, or bioenergy production.
• Demonstrated experience leading field trials, analyzing technical data, and translating findings into customer-focused solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a regional environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial audiences.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Middle East and Africa region.

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Fermentation Science, or a related discipline.

• Experience supporting large-scale ethanol or biofuel production facilities.
