Industry Technology Specialist Meat And Food - MEA

Roles and responsibilities:

• Playing a key role in understanding customer needs and leading technical activities to find biological answer to those.
•    Providing professional technical support and innovative solutions for our customers in close cooperation with R&D, Sales, Marketing and Digital Transformation.
•    Planning, executing and reporting projects from laboratory to industrial scale at Novonesis and with our clients and partners, including new method and procedure development and adaption.
•    Conducting, supervising in-house and on-site tests to establish technical proof of concept.
•    Supporting sales team from technical perspective to create solid business cases together with our customers for new applications and commercial opportunities.
•    Supporting product launches throughout all project stages, from product development to test marketing and roll-out.
•    Running technical trainings on products and applications to internal stakeholders, customers, distributors.
•    Joining customer visits for technical discussions, project management meetings, trials to ensure technical expertise is fully in place. 
•    Managing the technical project timeline and ensure all actions are taken accordingly.
•    Hold a bachelor’s degree in food engineering or Food Science. 
•    Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in food applications, preferably in meat and/or plant-based food industries. 
•    Knowledge in enzymes, cultures, food processes, and ingredients are highly desirable.
•    Holding a MSc degree (or MBA) and other food industries experiences will be a plus.
•    Be customer-oriented and have a commercial mindset. 
•    Coordinating customer sample requests and ensuring timely follow-up of sample delivery, technical trials, results and agreed next steps in close cooperation with Sales and Supply Chain.
•    Be fluent in spoken and written English.
•    Have the capability and willingness to travel as needed (both domestic and international)
•    Enjoy interacting within teams, navigating both an internal network of colleagues and external network of partners and customers.
•    Have outstanding communication and presentation skills. 
•    Have an interest in how enzymes and cultures work in the real world and how to turn technology into real consumer products.
•    Have a strong drive, positive mindset, high ability to learn, goal-oriented, well organized, a can-do-attitude and teamwork skills working with colleagues globally.
