We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indian/Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on culinary techniques and menu items.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and cost menu items effectively.
  • Adapt dishes to meet diverse dietary needs and preferences of customers.
  • Monitor and control food waste and portion sizes to manage costs.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas at all times.
  • Directly engage with patrons to receive feedback and improve dining experiences.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to continually implement modern techniques.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef specializing in Indian and Chinese cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques.
  • Ability to develop recipes and determine new menu items in line with market trends.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff and operations effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and presentation of dishes served to customers.
  • Culinary certification or degree from a recognized institution is preferred.
