Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import/Export Coordinator to join our dynamic company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of logistics related to importing and exporting goods. The Import/Export Coordinator will ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, manage documentation, and coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and agencies to facilitate smooth transactions. The role requires an individual with strong organizational skills, a familiarity with international trade practices, and exceptional communication abilities. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate import and export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation and customs clearance paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies for all shipments.
  • Liaise with carriers, forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve shipping issues promptly.
  • Monitor shipment status to anticipate potential delays and address them proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and buyers to manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
  • Negotiate shipping rates and service agreements with logistic providers to optimize costs.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies to support business objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on international trade regulations, market trends, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in import/export or logistics coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to work with international suppliers and clients.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Problem-solving ability to address and resolve logistics-related issues proactively.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and their application in international shipping agreements.
