As an Import and Export Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of importing and exporting products and commodities to meet company requirements and customer demands. You are expected to engage with various international markets, ensure compliance with regulations, and facilitate customs procedures. Your role includes developing and implementing strategic logistic plans, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods. You will need to maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers, and logistical partners to ensure smooth transactions and resolve any issues efficiently. An adept understanding of trade policies and excellent project management skills will be essential in driving the company's growth in international markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement export and import strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations and local laws.
• Monitor and manage logistics shipments for efficiency and timely delivery.
• Negotiate transportation and logistics rates with carriers and service providers.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and customers.
• Analyze import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to coordinate and facilitate import/export activities.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain records of all import/export transactions and provide necessary reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in import and export management roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trade data effectively.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships.
