Job Description

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join our UK Solutions Architecture team.

Our Solutions Architecture team is a diverse group of technologists from various backgrounds. We work closely with AWS customers in the Gaming and Betting & Gaming industries to understand their unique needs and challenges. Our Solutions Architects leverage their expertise to offer valuable insights and provide tailored guidance on how to best utilize AWS technology to create business value and drive innovation in the industry.

As part of this team, you will blend business acumen with technical guidance to effectively engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption, helping them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology and guiding them on their cloud journey. You will encourage innovation and drive change to achieve better customer outcomes. You will manage the overall technical relationship between our customers and AWS, and lead activities such as architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, creating and delivering demos, and technical workshops. You will engage at all levels of the organization to influence decision-makers.

Internally, youll be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and requirements to inform the roadmap of AWS features while collaborating with other teams such as account management, professional services, support, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

In this role, you will get to practice your creativity, linking technology to tangible solutions and educating AWS customers about the art of the possible.

You will create and share best practices at scale, including through the creation of technical content and reference architectures, for a variety of use cases, e.g., Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security.

You will have the support to grow your expertise in industry and technology areas in depth.

Practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desired but not required, provided you have a sound technical foundation and a desire to learn.

At Amazon, you will be encouraged and rewarded for doing what is right for the long-term success of the customer. We value your passion to discover, invent, and build on behalf of customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to accelerate complex projects and align technological solutions with their long-term business objectives
  • Build relationships with customers, including the C-suite and Line of Business stakeholders, to establish yourself as their trusted advisor.
  • Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
  • Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures
  • Evangelise and educate about AWS technology through workshops, meetups, public speaking etc
  • Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your customer’s outcomes and your interests.

A day in the life

A typical day might start by preparing for a customer meeting, reviewing their current business goals and how technology could help achieve them. During the meeting, youll listen to the customers challenges, ask probing questions, bringing a point of view rich with industry context and value, offering strategic advice on possible solutions. After lunch, you could find yourself diving deep into your customers technical architecture, collaborating with internal teams to design a custom solution. Later, you might lead a workshop to educate customers on new AWS features or write a blog post sharing best practices. Throughout the day, youll balance relationship-building with technical work, continually learning to keep up to date with evolving technologies.
