The role of an HVAC Technician is critical in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. HVAC Technicians are skilled tradespeople responsible for all aspects of installation, service, and maintenance of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively, and the capability to work on various types of equipment. As an HVAC Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse environments, from homes to large corporate buildings. You will also be integral in maintaining energy efficiency and ensuring comfort and air quality for all occupants.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems for residential and commercial clients.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems to determine necessary repairs.
• Provide detailed reports on system conditions, maintenance, or repairs performed.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations during work activities and operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed within given timelines.
• Interpret and comply with technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Manage and maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for service tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain services, repairs, and system functionality.
• Attend training and workshops to stay updated with new technology and regulations.
• Provide emergency repairs and troubleshooting services as required, including on-call shifts.
• Ensure environmental guidelines are followed during the disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical training certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and work specifications.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for travel to job sites.
• Physical ability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting heavy equipment.
