HV Project Engineer - Electrical

Job Responsibilities:Manage and execute High Voltage (HV) electrical projects including substations, switchgear, transformers, and associated systems.Coordinate with consultants, clients, utilities, and internal teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.

Review HV electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and technical submittals.Plan project activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Supervise site installation, testing, commissioning, and energization activities for HV systems.Ensure compliance with DEWA / ADDC / SEWA / local authority standards and relevant international codes.

Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing, and approvals.Identify risks, resolve technical issues, and support project close-out documentation.

Requirements:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in HV electrical projects within MEP or power infrastructure.Strong knowledge of HV substations, switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and earthing systems.Experience with utility coordination and authority approvals is mandatory.Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of project management tools is an advantage.Strong communication and coordination skills.
