Human Resources Generalist

Overview: The Greater Change is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, supporting our mission to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role is ideal for a proactive and resourceful individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings and candidate sourcing to interviewing and onboarding new hires
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns, facilitating conflict resolution and promoting employee engagement
  • Performance Management: Assist in the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions
  • Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure HR policies and procedures are current, compliant, and effectively communicated across the organization
  • Training and Development: Support the development and delivery of training programs aimed at employee development and skills enhancement
  • HR Administration: Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and reporting, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy
  • Compensation and Benefits: Assist in administering employee benefits programs and maintaining payroll accuracy

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not mandatory
