The Role
As the HSEQ Advisor, you will be at the heart of driving excellence in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality across our operations in Dubai.
You will champion HSEQ standards by ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international best practices. You’ll support daily site operations, providing expert guidance and oversight to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. This will help promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging continual improvement and empowering teams to take ownership of HSEQ performance.
You will also play a key role in implementing and maintaining robust policies and procedures, helping shape a resilient and forward-thinking safety framework.
What Youll Be Doing
- As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be central to driving health, safety, environmental, and quality excellence across our operations. Your role will include delivering HSEQ inductions for new employees and rolling out workforce safety communications and initiatives. You’ll manage core safety systems and support activities such as risk assessments, safe systems of work & implementation of our James Fisher Life Saving Rules.
- You’ll administer the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 standards, lead quality audits, and implement strategies for continual improvement. Coordination of HSE meetings, toolbox talks, fire alarm tests, and emergency exercises will also be part of your remit.
- Regular site inspections and internal audits will be documented and followed up to ensure compliance. You’ll manage incident investigations and observations using the Intelex system, ensuring lessons are shared across the business.
- Data management is key—you’ll compile monthly HSEQ statistics and distribute HSEQ alerts. You’ll also support environmental initiatives, policy development, and HSEQ onboarding for supply chain partners, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on operational safety and quality while contributing to a culture of continual improvement and regulatory excellence.
What Were Looking For
- NEBOSH General Certificate and/or (International) or NVQ equivalent
- Proficiency in use of MS365 applications, including MS SharePoint & MS Teams
- Accident / Incident Investigation training certification
- Driver’s license
- Construction industry experience The below would also be preferred but not essential:
- Experience with Oil & Gas client HSE requirements
- IOSH Membership
- Internal auditor training certification external audit experience
- Experience and understanding of ISO 9001,14001 & 45001
- BOSIET certification
- COSHH Assessor
- Manual Handling Assessor
