Job Purpose

Offers expert knowledge and skills to establish and promote a positive HSE culture. Job holder will be responsible for ensuring all safety legislation are adhered to and policies & practices are adopted. Helps in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing protective & preventative measures minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. Ensure Company’s

established HSE policies and procedure are always maintained and followed

Main Responsibilities

  • Manages the staff of the HSE department to ensure activities are in line with laid down HSE
  • standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Establishes and formalises HSE Process and Procedures for the company.
  • Initiates and leads the HSE Committee while supervising all initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation, international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, etc.), and client requirements.
  • Identify workplace hazards and assess risks associated with operations. Implement preventive and corrective measures to minimize incidents.
  • Leads in-house training with employees about health and safety issues and risks; ensure that all new hires are trained and informed on HSE.
  • Custodian of all HSE documents; records of inspections/findings, incidents and accidents reports while producing statistics for management and suggesting improvements.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinates with HR & Finance for claims related to workmen compensation.
  • To develop and drive the organization’s sustainability strategy into business operations, ensuring compliance, and promoting long-term sustainable growth.

Your Profile

  • An Engineering Graduate with at least 7 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Should hold relevant certifications – NEBOSH. Other certifications related
  • to occupational health and safety areas will be a definite advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment areas.
  • Strong initiative and focus on results.
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
