Job Description

Role Purpose

Ensure that all safety, health, and environmental regulations are effectively implemented and adhered to across construction and operational activities. A vital role in protecting workers, the public, and the environment while minimizing the risks associated with complex infrastructure projects, both on land and at sea. 

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of HSE policies and procedures on major land infrastructure and marine works. 
  • Conduct daily safety inspections on both construction sites and offshore platforms, ensuring workers complied with safety guidelines and regulations. 
  • Carry out safety training programs for site personnel, focusing on hazard identification, PPE usage, and emergency response. 
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs, including water and soil contamination checks, air quality monitoring, and hazardous material disposal. 
  • Support incident reporting and documentation, ensuring timely resolution of all safety concerns. 
  • Monitor marine traffic and safety during marine construction works to minimize collisions and accidents. 
  • Responsible for regular audits and inspections of the site, equipment, and operational procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. 
  • conduct safety workshops, toolbox talks, and environmental awareness sessions to equip workers with the knowledge to operate safely in both land-based and marine environments. 
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Degree & Qualification 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety 

Experience 

  • 5 - 8 years relevant working experience especially in land and marine infrastructure projects. 
  • Ability to communicate in multi languages as required for the labours 
  • Abu Dhabi experience is a must. 
  • Ability to work in all outside weather and site conditions, including shift work within a manual/workshop environment. 
  • Ability to accept direction and complete work independently, demonstrating confidence and conviction with the ability to always intervene.
