HSE Engineer

An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer is essential in ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance in various industrial environments. The HSE Engineer works across multiple departments, collaborating to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Identify potential workplace hazards and develop strategies to mitigate associated risks.
• Provide training and educational programs to employees on safety practices and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date records of health, safety, and environmental incidents and investigations.
• Collaborate with department managers to enhance safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Ensure that the workplace complies with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Advise management on upcoming changes in legislation and advise on required updates.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports related to safety and environmental metrics.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HSE engineering or related role.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse teams.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve safety and environmental goals.
