HSE Engineer (225-1013)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team. As an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures designed to improve the overall safety performance of our organization. Your expertise will ensure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our employees and stakeholders while minimizing environmental impacts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices, coupled with a passion for safety and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures for the organization.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all HSE regulations.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE issues to management and staff.
• Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Coordinate and conduct HSE training programs and workshops for employees.
• Analyze safety data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Participate in the development of emergency response and preparedness plans.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
• Collaborate with external agencies and auditors during HSE inspections and audits.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes in HSE standards.
• Ensure all HSE documentation is maintained and up to date according to legal requirements.
• Support the continuous improvement of organizational safety and environmental practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in an HSE Engineer role or similar position.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with team members.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus.
