Job Description

The HR Manager administers and innovatively develops human resources policies, procedures, and practices. As a strategic partner to the management team, this role involves crafting an effective strategy for talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and development programs. A successful HR Manager is adept at directing, overseeing, and managing the HR department's core administrative functions. They provide guidance and support in personnel management while ensuring the organization's compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has a solid comprehension of the HR field, exceptional leadership qualities, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture. They are responsible for devising HR strategies that align with overall business objectives, and actively contribute to a conducive working environment. With strong communication skills, they effectively liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to optimize workforce productivity and organizational success.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to maintain high-quality staffing levels.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development and engagement of human resources.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program in collaboration with the finance team and external vendors.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics and analytics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management by staying up-to-date with legislation.
  • Design and implement training programs to improve employee skills and performance.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive workplace culture that recognizes diversity and engages employees.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs that improve employee competencies.
  • Actively listen to employee complaints to address and resolve workplace issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience of at least five years as an HR Manager or similar senior HR role.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics and strong analytical abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills for effective HR discussions.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP is a plus for candidates.
