The HR Generalist is responsible for delivering a broad range of human resources services primarily for Auxilium’s internal UAE-based workforce, while also producing legally compliant employment documentation for UAE External employees. The role exists to support the Head of HR in maintaining consistent, compliant, and high-quality people practices across the business, and to act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on GCC employment law and HR compliance. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in holding in-country partners (ICPs) accountable for compliant HR processes across the GCC region on behalf of the business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications and Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
· A postgraduate qualification in HR or a recognised HR professional certification (e.g. CIPD Level 5 or above, SHRM-CP) is strongly preferred.
Work Experience
· Minimum of 5-6 years of generalist HR experience, with a primary focus on UAE & KSA employment law and HR operations.
· Demonstrable experience managing HR for a UAE & KSA-based workforce is essential.
· Broader GCC experience (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman) is strongly preferred, as the role requires the ability to monitor regional compliance and hold in-country partners accountable.
· Prior exposure to an employer of record (EOR) environment is advantageous.
· Prior exposure to an on-demand labour supply environment is advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
· Expert-level knowledge of UAE Labour Law & visa process.
· Expert-level knowledge of KSA Labour Law and visa process.
· Strong working knowledge of labour law across the wider GCC (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman) sufficient to monitor in-country partner compliance and identify risk.
· Proven ability to draft legally compliant UAE HR documentation (employment contracts, offer letters, warnings, termination letters, settlement agreements, HR policies) for both internal and EOR employees.
· Proficient in HRIS platforms and HR technology; confident and proactive user of AI tools to improve HR processes and efficiency.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is an advantage).
· Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and vendor accountability skills.
Training
· Completion of, or active enrolment in, UAE employment law training or a GCC-wide labour law certification is preferred.
· Familiarity with AI productivity tools and HR technology platforms (e.g. HRIS, ATS, LMS) is required.
· Any formal training in performance management frameworks, grading structures, compensation & benefits frameworks, employee engagement, compliance monitoring, or vendor/partner management is advantageous.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Area and KRA’s
1. Draft and manage all HR legal documentation for Auxilium’s internal & external UAE employees in order to ensure full regulatory compliance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 and minimise legal exposure for the business, by applying expert knowledge of UAE employment law and leveraging AI-assisted drafting tools to produce accurate, legally compliant contracts, offer letters, warnings, termination letters, settlement agreements, and HR policies.
2. Support and advise the Head of HR on the full spectrum of HR generalist activities including performance management, employee relations, and culture initiatives in order to build a high-performing, engaged, and compliant internal workforce in the UAE, by acting as a trusted operational partner, translating HR strategy into day-to-day people practices and ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience.
3. Design and deliver GCC labour law training programmes for the wider business team to embed regional legal literacy and ensure that managers and stakeholders can identify and escalate compliance risks across all GCC markets by developing engaging, practical training content that translates complex legislative requirements into accessible learning for non-HR audiences.
4. Manage the organisation’s training and development programme for the internal UAE workforce in order to ensure employees have access to relevant external learning and that development activity is tracked and reported, by partnering with managers to identify training needs, researching and evaluating suitable external courses and providers, coordinating enrolments and logistics, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and completion.
5. Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle documentation process for Auxilium’s internal & external UAE employees in order to maintain accurate, audit-ready HR records and ensure all individuals receive legally compliant documentation at every stage of employment by implementing structured HR workflows and utilising HRIS technology and AI tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
6. Support the performance management cycle for the internal UAE workforce in order to drive a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and high performance by coordinating appraisal processes, advising managers on performance improvement planning, and ensuring consistency of approach in line with UAE legislation and company policy.
7. Identify, evaluate, and integrate AI and HR technology solutions into day-to-day HR operations, document management, and compliance monitoring activities in order to enhance team productivity, reduce administrative burden, and improve the quality and consistency of HR outputs by staying current with developments in HR technology, piloting new tools, and building internal capability around their effective use.
8. Act as the primary HR point of contact for internal UAE employees and managers on all people matters, and serve as the business’s internal expert on GCC labour law in order to provide timely, accurate, and legally sound guidance that supports operational decision-making, employee wellbeing, and regional compliance oversight by maintaining current knowledge of UAE and GCC employment frameworks, building trusted relationships across the business, and escalating complex matters to the Head of HR where appropriate.
