Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is a crucial role within the HR department, supporting a wide range of HR functions and activities to ensure the smooth operation of the department. With responsibilities including maintaining employee records, assisting with recruiting and onboarding, and supporting HR programs and events, the HR Assistant plays an integral part in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This role involves collaboration with HR managers and other departments to implement HR strategies effectively. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position, as the HR Assistant acts as a first point of contact for HR inquiries and processes. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Support HR managers in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and assist in onboarding activities for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Participate in organizing HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Answer employee questions and provide information on HR policies and procedures.
  • Compile HR reports and assist in analyzing HR metrics and data for decision-making.
  • Handle tasks related to employee benefits administration and payroll processing support.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in HR operations and practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive employee information and documents.
  • Assist in performance review processes, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Facilitate clear communication between employees and management regarding HR issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an HR or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is highly desirable.
