Job Description

As a Human Resources (HR) Assistant, you will be an integral part of our HR team, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and develop a career in human resources. You will be involved in a wide range of HR activities, from recruitment processes and employee record maintenance to assisting in the implementation of HR policies and programs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your role will require you to handle a variety of HR functions, ensuring they are carried out smoothly and effectively to support the organization's goals.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating interviews and conducting reference checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to improve employee engagement.
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides.
  • Handle employee queries and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars for employee development initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll by providing relevant data and documentation.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Participate in creating and implementing employee orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning metrics and trends.
  • Support HR projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to improve processes and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR assistant or relevant human resources position.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and resume databases for handling HR functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of labor legislation and employment laws is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
