Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout our facilities. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the set standards. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage time and resources efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and employees. This position requires a proactive attitude, the ability to resolve issues promptly, and a dedication to uphold our organization’s standards and policies.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff to ensure tasks are efficiently completed.
  • Inspect and evaluate the cleanliness of facilities, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Develop and schedule cleaning plans to ensure all areas are regularly serviced.
  • Coordinate inventory management and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues relating to housekeeping services.
  • Conduct training sessions for new housekeeping staff and ongoing development for existing team members.
  • Implement safety and hygiene protocols aligned with organizational standards.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping operations, including schedules and personnel performance.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings to discuss goals, improvements, and challenges.
  • Ensure all housekeeping equipment is regularly maintained and in good working order.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role in hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and safety standards within a hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and tools is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
