At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay, we are seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead the Housekeeping Department in delivering exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and luxury residential experiences while driving operational excellence and developing a high-performing team.

This role is designed for an experienced hospitality leader who combines operational expertise, strong people leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. As Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety, and service while contributing to the overall success of the property.

You will oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, residences, public areas, linen services, and back-of-house areas consistently exceed InterContinental brand standards.

From leading and developing your team to managing quality inspections, departmental budgets, inventory, productivity, and guest satisfaction, you will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through operational excellence.

The Gig

Reporting directly to the Cluster General Manager & Director of Rooms, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Housekeeping Department at InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay.

You will collaborate closely with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Security, Finance, and other operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the property.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days are the same; your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Housekeeping Operations

  • Lead all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, residences, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Ensure all areas consistently meet InterContinental brand standards and luxury expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and presentation standards throughout the property.
  • Coordinate deep cleaning and preventive housekeeping programs.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop housekeeping colleagues and supervisors.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support career development planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and service-focused team culture.
  • Promote employee engagement and recognition initiatives.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure guest rooms are prepared to the highest standards prior to arrival.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and housekeeping requests.
  • Support VIP arrivals, long-stay guests, and special requests.
  • Partner with Front Office to deliver seamless arrival and departure experiences.
  • Drive continuous improvement through guest satisfaction feedback.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Prepare departmental schedules aligned with business demands.
  • Manage departmental budgets while maintaining productivity and service quality.
  • Monitor linen, uniforms, guest supplies, and housekeeping inventories.
  • Control departmental expenses and minimize waste.
  • Ensure effective purchasing and inventory management processes.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, Security, Laundry, and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Coordinate room availability and maintenance priorities.
  • Support major events, VIP visits, and operational projects.
  • Ensure effective communication across all operational departments.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with IHG brand standards, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and security regulations.
  • Lead housekeeping audits and quality assurance inspections.
  • Maintain accurate departmental documentation and operational reports.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible housekeeping practices.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following:

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive Housekeeping leadership experience.
  • Previous experience as Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Executive Housekeeper within luxury hotels or branded residences.
  • Experience managing large housekeeping teams and departmental budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of Opera PMS and housekeeping management systems.
  • GCC/UAE hospitality experience preferred.
