Job Description

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas. You will work diligently to ensure that all rooms are sparkling clean, comfortable, and ready for guests upon their arrival. Housekeeping Attendants contribute significantly to the guest experience by providing a welcoming atmosphere that guests remember fondly. Your duties will include cleaning and maintaining rooms, reporting any maintenance issues, and ensuring that standards of cleanliness are consistently met. You will work as part of a team committed to delivering exceptional service to guests, enhancing their stay, and upholding the brand's reputation.


Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, corridors, and public areas according to the hotel's standards.
  • Restock guest rooms and bathrooms with amenities, linens, and supplies as needed.
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness, proper setup, and maintenance issues before guest check-ins.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a neat condition.
  • Report any lost and found items or maintenance issues to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly, including providing additional supplies or information.
  • Assist in the coordination and exchange of dirty linens for clean linens daily.
  • Monitor guest halls and public areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Participate in deep cleaning tasks and special projects as directed by management.
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor with guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Comply with all hotel policies regarding housekeeping procedures and conduct.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are achieved.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently for productivity.
  • Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and bending activities.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment operation is desirable.
