Job Description

The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of guest areas within hospitality establishments. As a pivotal member of the housekeeping team, the attendant is responsible for ensuring that all areas such as guest rooms, hallways, and common spaces are immaculately cleaned and maintained to high standards. This role involves not only cleaning but also inspecting rooms to ensure all amenities are in place, handling guest inquiries, and proactively addressing any issues to ensure a satisfactory guest experience. Successful candidates will possess attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring guests have a pleasant and welcoming environment.


Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Restock amenities and refresh towels and linens in guest rooms daily.
  • Inspect rooms for damages and report maintenance concerns promptly to management.
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies and adhere to safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a neat and organized housekeeping cart while managing supplies effectively.
  • Assist guests with inquiries or requests to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform regular checks to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic public areas.
  • Document and report lost, found, or damaged items immediately to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other staff to uphold the hotel's cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to protect guests and team members.
  • Participate in training sessions to keep up-to-date with cleaning standards and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to guest feedback and implement changes to enhance service quality.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in hospitality is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while upholding cleaning standards efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify any cleaning deficiencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
  • Good communication skills for both guest interaction and team collaboration.
  • Physical stamina and mobility to handle long shifts and heavy-duty cleaning.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
