Job Description

As a Hotel Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning and management of all hotel operations, while striving to provide exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee various departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and more, ensuring that the team meets high standards of hospitality. You will work towards maintaining an environment conducive to both guest and employee satisfaction, along with driving the hotel's financial performance. This role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams efficiently. Success in this position involves implementing effective management practices and policies, while remaining adaptable to occasional challenges and changes within the industry.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple hotel departments to ensure efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Manage budgets, financial plans, and control expenditures for all departments.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel regulations.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and address any guest service issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate and communicate with department heads for seamless operations management.
  • Analyze and report on hotel performance with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Implement and oversee revenue management strategies to maximize profits.
  • Ensure effective inventory and asset management across all hotel departments.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team for promotional activities and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel operations management required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams efficiently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and staff.
  • Knowledge of financial management and revenue-generating strategies in hospitality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
