Hostess

About The Role

Social Dining & Nightlife is looking for a polished, friendly, and organized hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. You will welcome guests at the entrance, manage reservations and the waiting list, and help set the tone for a smooth, enjoyable experience from the moment guests arrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at the entrance and make them feel welcome
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the waiting list accurately
• Seat guests according to the floor plan, table turnover, and server rotation
• Provide accurate wait times and communicate clearly with guests
• Answer phone calls and handle booking enquiries professionally
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and floor managers to keep service flowing
• Manage guest special requests, celebrations, and VIP arrivals
• Handle guest concerns or complaints calmly and escalate when needed
• Maintain a clean, presentable host stand and entrance area
• Keep accurate records of reservations, seating, and guest preferences
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and side work
  
  

• Previous experience as a hostess, receptionist, or in customer-facing hospitality roles (preferred, not essential for entry-level candidates)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in English; Arabic is a plus
• Polished, professional appearance and a warm, confident manner
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night hours
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Familiarity with reservation systems or POS software is an advantage
• Ability to stay calm and courteous during busy or high-pressure shifts
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
