Role Overview

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. This role ensures smooth guest flow, manages reservations, and contributes to an exceptional luxury dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Reception & Experience

Welcome and greet guests with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Manage reservations, guest lists, and table allocations efficiently.

Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and inform them of specials or promotions.

Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.

Operational Support

Coordinate with waitstaff and management to ensure smooth seating and service flow.

Maintain the reception and waiting areas in a clean, organized, and welcoming condition.

Monitor waiting times and manage guest expectations professionally.

Assist with special arrangements for VIP guests or events.

Reservation & Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special occasions.

Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage online reservations efficiently.

Provide reports on reservations, guest feedback, and occupancy trends as required.

Professional Standards & Compliance

Uphold luxury service standards, etiquette, and presentation at all times.

Adhere to company policies, health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or Guest Relations in high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, or fine-dining venues.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Professional appearance, polished demeanor, and confidence in guest-facing roles.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
