Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials to various destinations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle regularly.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic and safety regulations while driving.
• Develop and adhere to efficient delivery schedules and timelines.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, deliveries, routes, and fuel consumption.
• Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers effectively.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and logistics personnel to manage delivery schedules.
• Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it meets safety protocols.
• Report any traffic violations, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions promptly.
• Utilize GPS and mapping tools to select the most efficient routes for travel.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Heavy Truck Driver with a clean driving record.
• Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to operate heavy trucks and trailers in various weather conditions.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
