Job Description

A Healthcare Receptionist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of a medical facility. Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient records by updating information accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely patient care delivery.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide clear directions and information as required.
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information accurately.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints in a respectful manner.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Support office staff with billing and payment processing tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Prior experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and medical software systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality laws.
