Responsibilities

• Help with the mobility of patients, ensuring their safe movement from area to area.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss care plans and patient progress.
• Provide emotional support by engaging patients in conversation and activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing housekeeping duties.
• Ensure the proper stocking and handling of medical supplies and equipment.
• Support nursing staff with procedures and medical tasks as needed within scope.
• Administer basic first aid and CPR in emergency situations when required.
• Document and maintain accurate records of patient care and activities performed.
• Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of disease and infection.
• Assist with dietary needs, preparing food and feeding patients who need help.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Completion of a certified healthcare assistant training program is preferred.
• Proven experience in a healthcare environment offering patient care services.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices is essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
• Capacity to lift and move patients with physical strength and proper techniques.
