Marsh Specialty’s Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) practice leverages deep global expertise to deliver specialist services to private equity, infrastructure, alternative asset industries, and corporate buyers. We advise clients throughout the investment lifecycle, from acquisition to exit, including portfolio-level insurance solutions. The Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Transactional Risk to drive and grow our Transactional Solutions business across the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to the PEMA Middle East and Africa Practice Leader, you will provide strategic advice and transactional insurance solutions to private equity firms, corporates, and strategic clients. This is a commercially focused leadership role with significant autonomy and exposure to top-tier clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth and visibility of Marsh Specialty and PEMA’s transactional risk solutions in the MEA region.
- Provide expert strategic advice on transactional risk solutions in private equity and M&A deals to enable clients’ commercial objectives.
- Manage, develop, and expand relationships within the M&A community, including investment funds, corporate clients, insurers, law firms, and advisors.
- Broker Warranties & Indemnities (W&I), Tax, Contingent and other transaction specific insurance policies and manage an existing deal book.
- Coordinate services across Marsh and Marsh McLennan practices to deliver integrated solutions.
- Act as a liaison with global PEMA teams to ensure timely execution of transactional risk placements.
- Respond to RFPs and represent Marsh as a thought leader by hosting and chairing industry events.
- Lead project management efforts, coordinating multiple work streams and advisors.
- Drive best practice and market-leading service delivery for all clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in M&A, Corporate Law, or W&I Underwriting, with a strong background in broking and transactional risk insurance.
- Proven leadership experience at VP/SVP level or equivalent seniority.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce, or related fields.
- Strong negotiating, influencing, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Commercially minded, highly motivated, and client-focused with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and advise a portfolio of clients and run P&L responsibilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based, and time-sensitive environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Middle East and Africa.
- Strong relationship management and project coordination skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
