More About The Role
The Head of Technology for Burson Middle East is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the growth, strategic direction, and operational excellence of the Burson Technology practice across the region. Reporting directly to the MENAT CEO, this role is critical for identifying and securing new business opportunities, ensuring high-quality client delivery, building team development, and championing innovation within the Burson brand. You will play a key role in protecting and promoting Bursons distinct approach to technology, directly contributing to the practices revenue targets.
What Youll Do
- Own and drive technology revenue growth across the Middle East, identifying, securing and expanding high-value client relationships while delivering against ambitious regional growth and net revenue targets.
- Lead market-facing new business development across key Middle East markets, proactively originating opportunities, opening doors with net-new clients, and personally leading major pitches and conversions.
- Build Burson’s technology proposition in the region, expanding our footprint with existing clients, scaling multi-market engagements, and integrating broader Burson capabilities to deliver greater client value.
- Act as a senior advisor to the region’s most influential clients, providing trusted counsel to C-suite and senior stakeholders across government, enterprise, scaleup and multinational organisations.
- Elevate Burson’s reputation as a leading technology advisor in the Middle East, shaping the firm’s external profile through thought leadership, industry presence and senior-level relationships.
- Build, lead and inspire a high-performing regional technology team, creating a culture of collaboration, inclusion and excellence, and ensuring the right capabilities are in place to support growth.
- Partner closely with the MENAT CEO and regional leadership, contributing to regional strategy, market prioritisation, investment decisions and long-term growth planning.
- Champion innovation and modern delivery, embedding emerging technologies, AI enabled solutions and new IP into client offerings to enhance impact, efficiency and differentiation.
Experience That Contributes To Success
- A strong track record of building and growing a technology practice or portfolio within the Middle East, ideally within a communications, consulting or professional services environment.
- Demonstrable success in new business origination and growth, with experience winning complex, high-value mandates in competitive and fast-evolving markets.
- Deep understanding of the Middle East business and cultural landscape, with the credibility and networks to operate effectively across diverse markets and client environments.
- Senior client advisory gravitas, with the ability to counsel, influence and build trust with C-suite and senior government or enterprise stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and strategic judgement, able to translate client challenges and market insight into profitable, scalable solutions aligned to Burson’s capabilities.
- Proven people leadership experience, including building, mentoring and developing high performing, diverse teams in growth-oriented environments.
- Expertise and curiosity within the technology sector, with a clear view of emerging trends, innovation and disruption shaping client needs in the region.
