Job Description

The Head of Teaching and Learning is a dynamic leadership role within the education sector, responsible for enhancing the quality of teaching, learning and academic practices across an educational institution. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic teaching and learning initiatives institution-wide.
  • Lead the professional development programs to enhance faculty teaching skills and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure curricular alignment with academic goals and standards.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to measure and improve student learning outcomes effectively.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative educational environment for both staff and students.
  • Ensure compliance with educational policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
  • Promote innovative teaching practices and integration of technology in the classroom.
  • Guide evaluation processes for teaching effectiveness and program performance.
  • Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and conferences to share best teaching practices.
  • Engage in research activities to stay abreast of trends in educational methodologies.
  • Facilitate continuous feedback loops between faculty, students, and administrative teams.
  • Manage the allocation and utilization of teaching and learning resources efficiently.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in an educational leadership or teaching role.
  • Strong knowledge of current educational practices, methods, and innovations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of educators and administrators.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and implementation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
