Job Description

The Head of Supply Chain is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain operations within an organization. This position demands strategic vision, substantial experience in supply chain management, and the ability to effectively lead a diverse team. The Head of Supply Chain will work closely with key stakeholders across various departments such as procurement, logistics, inventory management, and customer service to ensure alignment and integration of supply chain strategies with overarching business objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to identify and implement best practices that enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, driving sustainable practices, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support business objectives and growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals across various functions.
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
  • Optimize logistics and distribution networks to improve delivery performance and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and finance teams for integrated supply chain planning.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and sustainability practices.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively to balance customer demand and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Present regular supply chain performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management roles.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing diverse supply chain teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • Experience in implementing sustainability practices within the supply chain.
