Job Description

The Head of Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning and optimization of the entire supply chain process within an organization. This senior-level position is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategy, architecture, and management of supply chain operations. This includes procurement, logistics, inventory management, and the distribution of products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex supply chains, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements to support organizational growth. The Head of Supply Chain will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with the organizational goals, enhance supply base partnerships, and implement technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans to support company objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations of procurement, inventory management, and distribution channels.
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics to monitor supply chain efficiency.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards in supply chain operations.
  • Develop budgeting and cost-control strategies to optimize resources and reduce expenses.
  • Utilize advanced technologies to drive automation and improve operational efficiency.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing supply chain team to foster innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management roles.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive supply chain initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage vendor relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of global supply chain regulations and compliance standards.
