As the Head of Retail Assets and Embedded Finance, you will lead the strategy, P&L and end-to-end management of personal loans, auto loans and overdrafts, and how they are delivered through embedded finance and open finance propositions. The role drives growth, portfolio quality and customer experience across all channels and ecosystem partners.

Your key areas of responsibility will be:

• Strategy & P&L
• Own the strategy and P&L for personal loans, auto loans and overdrafts.
• Set annual business plans and KPIs; track performance and drive corrective actions.
• Product, Journey & Open Finance Design
• Manage full product lifecycle (design, pricing, policies, enhancements, sunset).
• Use open finance capabilities (consent-based data sharing, alternative data, account aggregation) to improve underwriting, pre-approvals, and personalised offers.
• Ensure journeys are digital-first and STP across mobile, online, branches and call centre.
• Embedded & Open Finance Partnerships
• Build and manage ecosystem partnerships (payroll partners, auto dealers, aggregators, marketplaces, fintechs).
• Develop open-finance-enabled journeys (e.g., instant income verification, external account access) to reduce friction and improve approval rates.
• Work with Technology, Digital and Operations to integrate partners via APIs and ensure smooth onboarding, decisioning and disbursal.
• Risk, Compliance & Portfolio Quality
• Partner with Risk and Collections on credit policies, risk appetite and early warning triggers.
• Monitor portfolio quality (vintages, delinquencies, NPLs) and drive improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all products, data-sharing and partnerships comply with UAE Central Bank regulations, data privacy and internal policies.
• Stakeholder Management & Leadership
• Act as central owner for these products with Distribution, Digital, Operations, Risk, Finance and Marketing.
• Present performance and plans in product, risk and governance forums.
• Lead and develop a team of product and partnership managers.
  

To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10–15+ years in retail banking / consumer lending with strong exposure to personal loans, auto loans or overdrafts.
• Proven P&L ownership and track record of delivering growth with controlled risk.
• Experience in digital lending, embedded finance and/or open finance / API-based propositions is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of UAE retail banking and regulatory environment is an advantage.
