Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Purchasing to lead our organization's procurement and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the purchasing process, drive cost savings, and ensure high-quality product delivery. Key responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, forecasting demand, and overseeing the purchasing team. The Head of Purchasing will also be required to stay current on industry trends, analyze market conditions, and identify opportunities for process improvement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in procurement leadership, excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles. A master’s degree and relevant certifications are preferred.   • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business objectives and support operational needs.
  • Lead and manage the purchasing team to ensure efficient procurement processes and timely delivery of goods.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan procurement activities, and manage inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and address issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track purchasing activities and measure departmental effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements in procurement.
  • Continuously seek ways to streamline purchasing processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
