Job Title: Head of Procurement – Specialty Chemicals & Lubricant Additives

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 40,000 per month


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead our sourcing and procurement operations for specialty chemicals and lubricant additives. The ideal candidate will bring 10–15 years of relevant experience within the chemical industry, with a strong emphasis on lubricant additives. A background in chemical engineering or chemistry is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate demonstrates substantial industry expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure 95%+ on-time execution of purchase orders within defined SLAs
  • Achieve annual cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
  • Maintain 98%+ accuracy in demand forecasting and purchase request fulfillment
  • Ensure 95%+ compliance from Tier 1 suppliers on quality and service SLAs
  • Secure 100% contract coverage for all high-value purchases
  • Resolve all disputes and non-conformance issues within SLA timelines
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and risk assessments to ensure reliability and compliance
  • Maintain 99%+ accuracy in procurement records and pricing data
  • Deliver all dashboards, supplier reviews, and reports on time
  • Implement at least two major process improvements annually
  • Utilize ERP systems and procurement analytics for informed decision-making
  • Oversee procurement activities across multiple categories, aligning with business objectives
  • Lead contract negotiations, supplier selection, and vendor management
  • Ensure compliance with global procurement standards and regulations
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity
  • Achieve 90%+ satisfaction among internal stakeholders
  • Ensure 95%+ SLA compliance for internal procurement support
  • Develop and mentor procurement teams, targeting 80%+ high-performance ratings
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and finance teams to align procurement with business needs


Qualifications & Experience

  • 10–15 years of procurement experience in specialty chemicals, with a focus on lubricant additives
  • Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
  • Proven expertise in supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and contract management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement analytics, and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated leadership in team development and cross-functional collaboration
