- Develop and implement a group-wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and approval processes.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect spend categories.
- Drive supplier consolidation to maximise group purchasing leverage.
- Oversee major tenders, RFQs, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Establish supplier evaluation, performance management, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Deliver cost-saving, value engineering, and procurement efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with governance, audit, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Lead procurement process standardisation through ERP and procurement systems.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and functional direction to procurement teams.
A successful Head of Procurement UAEN should have:
- UAE National ONLY
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification advantageous.
- Professional certification such as CIPS preferred.
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience.
- Proven senior procurement leadership experience within large, multi-entity organisations.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier governance.
- Demonstrated success in high-value contract negotiations and supplier consolidation.
- Experience working with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP or equivalent.
- Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, food production, agriculture, or industrial sectors preferred.
- Experience operating within structured governance, audit, and approval frameworks.
