About The Role
We are seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Head of Marketing (MENA) to architect and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy for a new digital telecom brand launching in the region. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing a highly differentiated brand positioning, driving full-funnel customer acquisition, and engineering culturally resonant narratives within a competitive digital telecom landscape.
The individual plays a foundational role in defining our market-entry and long term growth strategies, spanning brand equity, performance marketing, and comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) execution. The ideal candidate will require a sophisticated digital pedigree and a strong commercial mindset, eager to scale a high-velocity B2C challenger brand from inception to market leader.
Roles And Responsibilities
Strategic Growth Leadership: Define and own the full-funnel marketing strategy, taking accountability for digital and offline acquisition, customer retention, and delivering channel performance and growth.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Develop and execute scalable GTM frameworks including core messaging, communication mix, directing end-to-end campaigns that ensure clear market differentiation and alignment with broader business and commercial objectives.
Brand Identity & Localization: Co-create and scale distinctive B2C digital brand. Adapt the brand narrative, positioning, personality, and tone of voice to ensure deep local relevance across universal brand identity.
Media & Channel Optimization: Oversee media planning and creative execution across performance digital, social, influencer network, content marketing and Above-The-Line (ATL) channels. Optimization allocations to maximize reach, cost efficiency, and ROI across targeted customer segments.
Commercial & Performance Accountability: Establish, track and optimize core marketing KPIs, including CAC, CPA, customer engagement, and revenue contribution, to directly support the business’s financial targets.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Product, Design and Commercial teams to ensure that marketing initiatives integrate with the latest product roadmap, pricing strategies and real-time customer insights.
Functional Leadership & Capability Building: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing regional marketing team that fosters a data-driven, agile and continuous improvement culture.
Professional Experience
- 13+ years of total experience, including 5+ years in marketing leadership roles within high-growth B2C digital, telecom, or technology businesses.
- Proven track record in building scalable consumer brands and driving user acquisition across full-funnel channels
- Hands-on experience in launching new consumer propositions and driving rapid user growth through performance, social, and content-led innovative consumer campaigns
- Expertise in MENA markets, with the ability to localize marketing and creative strategy to regional insights.
- Experience managing external agencies, media partners, and creative production across multiple markets.
- Experience operating in zero-to-one or scale-up environments with marketing budget ownership and strong commercial acumen strongly preferred
- Previously worked in a matrix environment and comfortable operating in fast paced organizations
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a digital-first telecommunications operator or subscription-based consumer business
- Previous experience in multicultural or regional leadership roles across markets is highly desirable
