Head Of Finance - Group Management Reporting And ALM Injaz - Planning And Management Accounting Dept Corporate Affairs

This is a critical leadership role which sits within Group Management Reporting and Advisory function, part of the GCFO office and supports the Group’s strategic finance agenda.

The incumbent is responsible for providing financial insights to the GCFO, GCEO and the Board of Directors at Group level.

The incumbent will ensure real-time financial insight, robust governance to support growth, profitability and enterprise wise initiatives.

The position will play a pivotal role in shaping digital and AI lead transformation / disruption across the Planning and Management Accounting department.

This incumbent is responsible for managing Group-wide business planning, analysis and advisory process including Board presentations, Dashboards for Chairman and GCEO and integral to manage the financial systems for management reporting.

This incumbent is also responsible for Group ALCO reporting and governance in line with Central Bank of UAE regulations.

The incumbent is responsible for managing weekly Group Capital Allocation Committee meetings (GCAC).

Review and ensure accurate presentation of financial numbers to Board of Directors (BOD) meeting every quarter.

To review and ensure accurate presentation of Monthly Business wise performance pack to GCFO and GCEO on monthly basis.

Independently review the GCEO Dashboard and Chairman dashboard with GCFO before submission to GCEO

Review and ensure accurate presentation on management financials to EXCO on monthly basis

Responsible for consolidation of Strategic five-year Plan and Annual Plan.

Review and provide presentations for review of annual plan and 5 –year strategic plan to Chairman, to Board of Directors and to EXCO .

Introduce value added MIS and new techniques to facilitate business decisions.

Develop and generate variance reports and analyses for GCEO/GCFO’s perusal.

Review the RAROC and circulation to business every quarter. Periodically review and amend the policy and analytics in line with ALCO directives on RAROC.

Review the ALCO pack (incl overseas) ensuring accuracy of analytics.

Lead projects including system implementation, ALCO initiatives, expansion opportunities and strategic initiatives in all financial aspects.

Provide insights on financial questions from investors and lead banks during renewal of EMTN prospectus and capital issuances like Tier 1 and Tier 2 - Coordinate the business updates, financial information in prospectus and manage external audit of the same.

Co-secretary for GCAC meetings, ensuring look backs and coordination with Division Heads and Country CEOs on accuracy of RAROC and look backs are presented to committee on timely basis

Maintain a robust RCSA, manage internal and external audit by adhering to rigid controls, accounting standards, ensuring robust documentation

Manage any adhoc special projects coming from GCFO or GCEO’s office.

Accounting professional having an experience of 17-20 years’ experience in financial and management reporting in the banking industry.

Knowledge of banking products, IFRS , Basel III, RAROC, CB regulations.

Ability to identify source of information and to transform data into intelligence. (This requires knowledge of how data is generated from various sources / systems).

Must be able to work under pressure and within short / challenging deadlines

Strong inter-personal and communication skills.

Experience in designing management reports based on accounting data.
