About The Role

Our Technology team builds the systems and experiences that keep Revolut moving. From the infrastructure behind our innovative app to the features used by millions of people around the world, they bring sharp thinking, speed, and a focus on meaningful impact to everything they do.

Were looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our Premium department. This is a unique leadership role that sits at the intersection of commercial strategy and customer experience, and requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for building and mentoring high-performing teams.

Youll be defining and executing the technical strategy for a suite of products, including paid plans, Premium user lifecycle, and Travel and Lifestyle benefits.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Acting as the technical owner, defining the future state of the departments systems and creating a roadmap to get there
  • Ensuring execution and delivery of product improvements with an optimal time to market
  • Leading and mentoring a large team of 60+ engineers across 6 full-stack product teams
  • Raising the talent bar through effective hiring and talent management, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
  • Working directly with the Head of Product on long-term strategic thinking, and collaborating with senior leaders to align the technical roadmap with broader business goals
  • Balancing the development of new features with the refactoring of legacy systems to ensure long-term scalability and quality
  • Influencing stakeholders at all levels to execute the departments technical vision

What Youll Need

  • Fluency in Java
  • A solid technical background with proven experience in a senior leadership role
  • Experience defining and executing technical strategy for a suite of products
  • A demonstrated ability to lead and mentor large engineering teams
  • Experience in strategic thinking and collaboration with senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and to be capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • A proven track record of delivering impactful projects and managing product lifecycles
  • A passion for building and fostering high-performing engineering teams

Nice to have

  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, like a startup or scale-up
  • Experience with paid plans, travel, or lifestyle products
  • A background in managing teams across multiple product lines or departments
