Your Role in Our Mission
As the Head of Dealing, you will lead FNmarkets’ trading, dealing, and trade-risk operations, managing A/B/Hybrid books, execution quality, and risk controls to protect the business and optimise profitability. You will oversee liquidity, pricing, routing, and trading infrastructure; ensuring stable systems, fast execution, and strong governance across all regions. You will guide the MT5 and trading infrastructure teams, detect abusive trading behaviour, and drive data-led automation for better monitoring and decision-making. Working closely with Compliance, Product, Technology, BI, Risk, and Commercial, you will ensure alignment, operational excellence, and a seamless, high-integrity trading environment.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Trading & Dealing Leadership
- Lead FNmarkets’ Trading & Dealing / Trade Risk Operations (TRO) teams with full ownership of book management, execution quality, and risk oversight.
- Establish strong governance for trading operations, ensuring policies, workflows, and decision frameworks are consistently followed across all teams and regions.
Book Management & Risk Oversight
- Manage A-Book, B-Book, and Hybrid flow allocation strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining a strong risk posture.
- Continuously monitor exposure, client PnL distribution, instrument-level risk, and emerging trading patterns.
- Execute hedging strategies, manual or automated, to maintain controlled exposure and prevent adverse market impact.
Liquidity & Execution Management
- Oversee liquidity provider (LP) relationships, ensuring robust routing, price competitiveness, and stable liquidity under all market conditions.
- Optimise pricing streams, slippage, markups, and bridge settings to deliver best execution and drive tighter, more consistent spreads for clients.
- Review LP performance through data-driven scorecards and enforce SLA expectations.
Trading Infrastructure & Technology Ownership
- Lead the Trading Infrastructure team responsible for MT5 servers, groups, symbols, bridge/gateway configuration, pricing feeds, and platform trading conditions.
- Ensure that system architecture, routing logic, and platform settings align with risk, compliance, and commercial objectives.
- Drive improvements in latency, throughput, and server resilience.
System Stability, Latency & Execution Performance
- Maintain high uptime for all trading systems, ensuring resilient connectivity and global redundancy across regions and legal entities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve execution-related issues, VPS/server incidents, and platform errors with urgency and precision.
- Collaborate with Tech and DevOps to ensure low-latency execution and efficient system scaling during peak volumes.
Abusive Trading Detection & Policy Enforcement
- Detect, investigate, and mitigate abusive or toxic trading behaviors such as latency arbitrage, platform manipulation, or harmful EA strategies.
- Oversee validation processes for swaps, spreads, commissions, corporate actions, symbol settings, and other trading conditions.
- Ensure dealing policies are strictly followed and updated to reflect emerging market or regulatory risks.
Dealing Desk Operations Management
- Lead daily dealing desk operations including shift scheduling, handovers, real-time monitoring, and incident escalations.
- Review daily/weekly/monthly operations reports covering execution performance, risk trends, client segments, and profitability insights.
- Ensure smooth 24/5 coverage with clear escalation points and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with Compliance, Product, Technology, BI, Risk, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment across trading operations.
- Participate in governance discussions around new products, trading conditions, regional entities, and regulatory expectations.
Analytics, BI Automation & Operational Intelligence
- Drive the creation and continuous improvement of BI dashboards, automated alerts, monitoring tools, and risk-detection systems.
- Leverage data insights to enhance execution performance, reduce manual workload, and improve proactive detection of anomalies.
What You Bring
- 8–12 years of experience in CFD/FX dealing, risk operations, trading infrastructure, and liquidity management.
- Deep expertise in multi-book management (A-Book, B-Book, Hybrid) and market-making environments.
- Strong knowledge of MT5 Admin/Manager, bridges/gateways (PrimeXM, oneZero, Centroid), RMS/OMS systems, exposure monitoring, hedging structures, and pricing streams.
- Experience leading trading monitoring teams, infrastructure teams, and BI analysts.
- Strong analytical ability, flow analysis, and risk interpretation skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions (EU, offshore, APAC).
- Ability to build dashboards, alerts, and automation workflows with BI/Tech teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-department collaboration abilities.
