What’s the role?
Lead the charge in shaping the future of digital asset regulation in Dubai. As our Head of Compliance and MLRO, youll be instrumental in securing our license while building a robust compliance framework from the ground up.

What will you do?
Fulfil the role of Compliance Officer, MLRO & Risk Officer for IG’s VARA entity.
A key stakeholder responsible for securing IG’s VARA license.
Build and execute IG’s compliance framework ensuring IG remains fully compliant with VARA’s rules and regulations.
Build policies and procedures in line with local requirements and ensure the firm fulfils its reporting obligations.
The primary point of contact for all regulatory matters with VARA.
Maintain an evolving compliance risk assessment of the business and design and execute a compliance monitoring program to mitigate the firm’s exposure to risk.
Oversee the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring IG’s KYC and onboarding policies and procedures are compliance with local AML requirements.
Ensure adherence to the Travel Rule and Know Your Transaction (KYT) requirements to maintain regulatory compliance and safeguard virtual asset transfers.
Ensure compliance with local AML/CFT obligations, including timely registration and reporting on the UAE FIU’s GoAML platform.
What will you need for this role?
To succeed in this role, we think you’ll need:
5+ years of DFSA, SCA, FSRA or VARA regulatory compliance experience in the fintech or virtual assets sector in the UAE.
Prior experience as an authorized Compliance Officer & MLRO or Deputy Compliance Officer/Deputy MLRO.
An understanding of VARA regulations.
Understanding of UAE AML and CTF requirements.
Exposure to travel rule and KYT compliance.
A keen interest in blockchain technology and working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
High degree of integrity, someone who thrives in autonomous environments and the ability to strategically navigate complex challenges.
Be equally comfortable shaping high-level direction and rolling up their sleeves to drive execution.
