Gypsum Carpenter

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Gypsum Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing gypsum board systems, including false ceilings, partitions, wall linings, bulkheads, and decorative gypsum works.

Key Responsibilities

• Install gypsum boards, drywall partitions, false ceilings, wall linings, and bulkheads.
• Install metal framing, studs, tracks, channels, and ceiling suspension systems.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fix gypsum boards according to drawings and site measurements.
• Carry out joint taping, filling, sanding, and finishing to achieve smooth, high-quality surfaces.
• Construct decorative gypsum features, ceiling designs, lighting coves, curtain pockets, and other customized elements.
• Install access panels and prepare openings for lighting, HVAC, electrical, and other MEP services.
• Read and interpret basic construction drawings, layouts, and project specifications.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, dimensions, and finishing of all gypsum works.
• Repair or replace damaged gypsum boards, ceilings, and partitions.
• Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, painters, and other site teams.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Complete assigned work according to project schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Gypsum Carpenter, Gypsum Installer, or Drywall Installer.
• Good knowledge of gypsum board, drywall, false ceiling, partition, and metal framing systems.
• Ability to read basic drawings and take accurate site measurements.
• Skilled in cutting, fixing, jointing, sanding, and finishing gypsum boards.
• Experience using relevant hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights when required.
• UAE/GCC construction or interior fit-out experience is an advantage.
