Responsibilities

• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling holes, and removing old paint before painting.
• Measure and cut gypsum boards to fit specific spaces and dimensions accurately.
• Install gypsum boards on walls and ceilings, ensuring perfectly aligned edges and corners.
• Mix paints and colors to blend and match the desired color specification.
• Perform touch-up painting and repair any blisters or other imperfections on surfaces.
• Use techniques such as laying, taping, and joining to create smooth gypsum finishes.
• Operate, maintain, and clean painting and carpentry tools and equipment efficiently.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory building codes while performing tasks.
• Work closely with team members to complete projects within specified deadlines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and project managers as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional painter and/or gypsum carpenter in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and gypsum board installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation accurately.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and an aptitude for precision and detailed work.
• Familiarity with safety guidelines and building regulations for construction and finishing work.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle tools and work on ladders or scaffolding.
