Job Description

A Guest Services Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction by offering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment. As the first point of contact, they greet guests, address inquiries, and provide accurate information about the facilities and services offered. Their primary focus is to make sure every guest feels valued and that their needs are met promptly and effectively. The Guest Services Officer is responsible for creating lasting impressions and enhancing the overall guest experience.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Provide guests with comprehensive information about available services and amenities.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain neat and organized service areas and ensure proper signage is displayed.
  • Coordinate with various departments to fulfill guest requirements and special requests.
  • Ensure all guest-related issues are resolved swiftly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Assist in planning and organizing guest recreation and activities for enjoyable stays.
  • Remain updated on local attractions and events to provide guests with accurate advice.
  • Keep records of guest interactions, transactions, and pertinent feedback information.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of guest supplies and ensure sufficient stock availability.
  • Assist with billing and payment processes, including checking room charges and credits.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring safety and security standards are met.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in customer service or hospitality roles of similar nature.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong proficiency in English language.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and relevant reservation software.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to handle diverse clientele
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage customer concerns.
  • Flexibility to work in varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
